Description
Choose the Right Diagnostic Codes and Properly Apply Insurance Carrier Guidelines
Pain Management Coding for Low Back Pain. Lower back pain continues to be one of the most common reasons for visiting a doctor in America, and it is also one of the most frequent problems patients have related to the spine. But discerning between levels of treatment and appropriate diagnosis codes is anything but simple, and insurance carriers closely scrutinize medical necessity and billing. In short – a lot can go wrong.
Stop stressing! Coding expert Lynn M. Anderanin is here with help. Anderanin has years of experience in this field and is ready to help you understand coding for different levels of lumbar spine treatment and how to apply insurance guidelines for medical necessity and billing.
After attending this ‘Pain Management Coding for Low Back Pain’ event you will know the definition of conservative treatment and when it ends, what to do with patients who have multiple levels of treatment when choosing appropriate diagnosis codes, and how to code for treatments to bilateral sides of the lower back. Anderanin also explains how often patients can have injections to manage lower back pain and whether back braces will be covered by Medicare in the future. Your practice depends on proper coding for lower back pain treatment – make sure you are on top of it!
